Hello!

My name is Johan, I'm 35, I'm South African and I've been speaking English for... ever! After various professional experiences in South Africa, Tanzania and France, I decided to train as a teacher by taking the TEFL exam in 2023.

I offer conversation classes for adults and discovery workshops for primary school children. For teenagers, I offer homework help for English courses.

Conversation class for adults

Since my arrival in France nearly 3 years ago, I've quickly realized that the vast majority of French people learned English at school and actually have a good level of grammar. On the other hand, the fear of speaking, of expressing oneself or of mispronouncing are very present.

Thanks to these individual conversation classes, I can help you to gain confidence, break down the barrier that prevents you from engaging in conversation in English, improve your listening comprehension and correct your pronunciation if necessary. The aim here is not to have perfect English, but to be able to communicate: for pleasure, for your travels abroad, with your English-speaking neighbors or clients.

Workshops for children

Immersive package

During the workshop, I speak only English. In this way, children develop spontaneous comprehension and oral communication skills. They memorize faster, avoid the bad habit of translating word by word, and quickly gain confidence. It's the ideal way to feel at ease in a foreign language!

All activities are chosen to give children a taste for English. No notebooks, no pencils, just fun learning English. We play, sing, create and read stories.

At this age, it's all about developing oral skills: understanding and speaking.
